Herbert was embarking on a quest. Margot watched him adjust his belt, a glint of determination in his eye.

?oI'm going to find the comfiest chair in Oakhaven,? Herbert declared. ?oAnd no one will stop me!?

Margot sighed. ?oIt?Ts just a chair, Herbert. Can?Tt you just sit on the sofa like a normal person??

Herbert waved his hand dismissively. ?oThis is more than a chair, Margot! It?Ts a throne! It?Ts? it's about the principle of maximum comfort!?

Later, Brian found Herbert slumped outside ?oThe Dog & Duck.? His face was red.

?oDad? What happened?? Brian asked, suppressing a laugh.

?oThe barkeep refused to let me try out his armchair,? Herbert grumbled. ?oSaid it was for paying customers. Apparently, you have to buy something to sit down. The whole thing is a ridiculous rotation of obligations.?

Brian snorted. ?oSo, your quest failed??

?oNot entirely,? Herbert said, perking up slightly. ?oI did get a free sample of peanuts. And I saw a squirrel burying a nut. Fascinating process, really.?

Margot found them both an hour later, fast asleep under an oak tree in the park. Brian was using Herbert's belly as a pillow.

The next morning, Laura found Herbert trying to enact a new rule: ?oFamily Naptime After Lunch.?

?oDad, you can?Tt just declare naptime,? Laura said, adjusting her glasses. ?oIt?Ts not a law. I have to practice saxophone.?

Herbert puffed out his chest. ?oAs head of this household, I have the authority! Besides, I read about it in a columnist's article; napping is good for productivity.?

Margot walked in, carrying a toolbox. ?oLaura?Ts right, Herbert. And maybe you should focus on your actual job at Oakhaven Industries instead of reading about naps.? She winked at Laura.

Suddenly, Molly made a loud noise. The warrior in Herbert vanished, replaced with a sleepy dad. "Someone needs changing" Herbert said tiredly.
