Herbert scratched his head, staring at the dilapidated stall. "Margot, are you sure about this franchise?" he asked, doubt lacing his voice.

Margot, ever the optimist, smiled. "Herbert, Oakhaven needs a decent donut shop! Besides, I've already put down the deposit. We can oversee the operations together."

Herbert sighed. He'd rather be napping. "But I have to oversee safety at Oakhaven Industries! And donuts... they're a fatal temptation."

Brian skated up, landing a wobbly ollie. "Can I help? I know all about the marketplace! I sell my old video games online!"

Margot patted Brian�?Ts head. "That's sweet, dear, but maybe focus on your homework. Your father and I can handle the donut franchise and oversee things."

Later that week, Herbert stood awkwardly behind the counter, a half-eaten donut in his hand. Margot was busy trying to fix the faulty espresso machine. Brian, supposedly doing homework, was outside doing skateboard tricks.

Laura walked in, saxophone case in tow. "Dad? What are you doing? Are you going to critique my sax performance too?"

Herbert swallowed the donut. "Just... helping your mother. Your performance was fine, Laura, as long as you don't critique my donut-selling skills."

Laura raised an eyebrow, surveying the scene. "Someone should, Dad. That marketplace is brutal. Good luck!" She winked and left.

Margot emerged, covered in coffee grounds. "The machine is temporarily fixed. I�?Tm taking a walk. Don't let the shop be your fatal weakness, Herbert."
