Benvenuti a Vocabulary 95 - C1!

Ciao ragazzi! Siete pronti per ampliare il vostro vocabolario inglese? Questa lezione, parte dell'Unit 22 e della macroarea 'Sviluppare le Competenze' del corso C1, vi introdurrà a cinque parole potenti e utili: prevention, liberty, horizon, bulk, e array.

Insieme, esploreremo il significato di ciascuna parola, come usarla correttamente nel contesto, e faremo pratica con esercizi interattivi. Preparatevi a dare una marcia in più al vostro inglese! Forza, iniziamo!

Vocabulary 95 - C1

Margot sighed, looking at Herbert's latest contraption in the living room.[tooltip]Margot sospirò, guardando l'ultima invenzione di Herbert nel soggiorno.[/tooltip]
"Herbert, what is this?" she asked, pointing at the elaborate system of ropes and pulleys connected to the television remote.[tooltip]"Herbert, cos'è questo?" chiese, indicando l'elaborato sistema di corde e carrucole collegato al telecomando della televisione.[/tooltip]
Herbert beamed. "It's for prevention, Margot! Shoulder strain prevention! Imagine, never having to reach for the remote again!"[tooltip]Herbert si illuminò. "È per la prevenzione, Margot! Prevenzione dello sforzo alla spalla! Immagina, non dover mai più allungare la mano per il telecomando!"[/tooltip]
Brian walked in, skateboard in hand.[tooltip]Brian entrò, con lo skateboard in mano.[/tooltip]

Margot rolled her eyes. "It already is a disaster. Herbert, your quest for ultimate liberty from physical exertion knows no bounds."[tooltip]Margot roteò gli occhi. "È già un disastro. Herbert, la tua ricerca dell'ultima libertà dallo sforzo fisico non conosce limiti."[/tooltip]
Herbert gestured grandly. "Think of the possibilities! I can control the television from the furthest point on the horizon of the sofa!"[tooltip]Herbert fece un gesto grandioso. "Pensa alle possibilità! Posso controllare la televisione dal punto più lontano sull'orizzonte del divano!"[/tooltip]
Brian chuckled. "The horizon of the sofa? Dad, that's like, three feet."[tooltip]Brian ridacchiò. "L'orizzonte del divano? Papà, sono tipo tre piedi."[/tooltip]
"It's the principle, Brian! The principle! Now, if you could just bring me that bag of chips..." Herbert said, adjusting the pulley system.[tooltip]"È il principio, Brian! Il principio! Ora, se potessi solo portarmi quel sacchetto di patatine..." disse Herbert, aggiustando il sistema di carrucole.[/tooltip]
Margot opened the door to the garage and started sorting tools.[tooltip]Margot aprì la porta del garage e iniziò a ordinare gli strumenti.[/tooltip]
