Herbert was in the kitchen, humming. Margot walked in, holding a stack of papers.

"Herbert, did you see the news about Oakhaven Industries?" Margot asked, placing the papers on the counter. "There's some speculation about ethical breaches."

Herbert chuckled, reaching for a donut. "Speculation is their favorite pastime. They always want to make guesses. It's probably nothing. Besides, I make sure the machinery is safe. My job is not to worry about ethical business practices."

Margot sighed. "Well, someone at the factory seems to have recorded an audio file of a meeting. Now it's circulating online."

Herbert choked on his donut. "Audio? What kind of audio? Is it about my donut consumption rates?"

Margot raised an eyebrow. "Apparently, it's about dumping waste into the river. The company could prohibit it, but they didn't."

Herbert's eyes widened. "Oh dear. That's... not ideal."

Suddenly, Brian burst into the kitchen, skateboarding skills not required.

"Whoa! Careful!" Margot exclaimed.

Brian grinned sheepishly, holding up a glass of juice. "Sorry, Mom! Hey, Dad, did you hear about someone at your work dumping stuff in the river?"

Herbert paled. "Perhaps, we shouldn't prohibit conversations about such matters at the dinner table," he mumbled.

As if on cue, Molly toddled in, reaching for Herbert's half-eaten donut. He quickly moved it out of her reach, causing him to spill coffee on his shirt. "Oh for�?�!"

Margot gave Herbert a knowing look. "Maybe you should go to work early today. Good luck."
