Herbert sat at the kitchen table, a donut surrounding his coffee cup. "Margot, I've got it!" he exclaimed, crumbs flying.

Margot, who was fully absorbed in balancing the checkbook, sighed. "Got what, Herbert? Another 'foolproof' plan?"

"This is different!" Herbert insisted. "I met a guy at The Dog & Duck. A real investor! He said he can double our money!"

Margot put down her pen. "And what's the catch? I bet there's a hefty fee somewhere."

"Well... there's a small investment required," Herbert admitted. "But he's a senior advisor, very trustworthy, he told me."

Brian walked in, grabbed a piece of toast. "Trustworthy how? Does he wear a monocle and twirl his moustache?"

Margot glared at Herbert. "He didn't, did he?"

Herbert looked sheepish. "Maybe just the moustache..."

Margot closed her eyes. "Herbert, we discussed this. No more get-rich-quick schemes! The last one involved chickens, remember?"

Brian choked on his toast, trying not to laugh. Herbert just mumbled something about 'untapped poultry potential'.
