Herbert slumped onto the sofa. �?oMargot, I had a brilliant concept at work today!�?�

Margot, folding laundry, raised an eyebrow. �?oOh really, Herbert? Not another one of your�?� ideas?�?�

�?oThis is different! This is gold! My initial thought was to ignore it,�?� Herbert said, grabbing the remote. �?oBut then�?��?�

�?oThen what, Herbert?�?� Margot asked, wearily.

�?oThen I realized we could get rich! I have a scheme to�?� well, it involves donuts.�?�

Margot sighed. �?oDonuts again, Herbert? What happened with that pigeon racing scheme last month?�?�

Brian walked in, skateboarding in hand. �?oWhat�?Ts Dad scheming now? Last time it involved dressing Molly in a chicken suit for a commercial.�?�

Herbert ignored him. �?oThis is different! It involves me becoming a donut influencer! I eat them, review them�?�easy money!�?�

Margot stopped folding. �?oHerbert, you�?Tre a safety inspector. Your job is to *prevent* things, not eat your way to an early grave.�?�

�?oBut think of the possibilities!�?� Herbert insisted. �?oImagine, free donuts for life!�?�

�?oThe main conflict will be with your expanding waistline and the local health inspector,�?� Margot pointed out.

Brian snorted. �?oDad versus vegetables. It�?Ts a one-sided fight.�?�

�?oBut what if�?� what if this donut influencer thing actually works?�?� Herbert mused, scratching his chin.

Later that week, Margot found Herbert filming himself eating a glazed donut in the backyard. Brian was holding a reflector.

�?oOkay, Dad, more enthusiasm! Tell them how the sugary goodness just makes you want to dance!�?� Brian instructed.

Margot watched, shaking her head. Suddenly, Molly toddled out, Captain Hoppy in tow, and grabbed Herbert's leg.

Herbert lost his balance, dropping the donut and nearly falling. Molly then proceeded to smear the dropped donut all over Captain Hoppy.

From the mess, a smile began to emerge on Molly's face.

Herbert looked at the camera, then at Margot, then at Molly and the donut covered Captain Hoppy. He sighed, "Maybe I should stick to safety inspections."
