Herbert sat in his recliner, flipping through channels. He sighed. "Nothing good is ever on," he grumbled.
Margot walked in, carrying a small box. "I'm going to the park to help with the bird conservation project," she said. "They need people to tag the migratory birds."

Herbert perked up slightly. "Tag them? Like... a game of tag? Can I use a net?"

Margot rolled her eyes. "No, Herbert. It's for scientific research. They put a small band on the bird's leg to transmit data about their migration patterns."

Brian walked in, skateboarding gear in hand. "Cool! Can I come? I'm good at catching things," he said, grinning.

Margot smiled. "Of course, Brian. The more the merrier."

Herbert groaned dramatically. "Bird watching... in the sun? I think I'll just stay here. Besides, I have something to confess."

Margot and Brian stopped, looking at him with concern.

"I... I hid a box of donuts in the storage cave behind the TV. I was saving them for later, but now I don�?Tt feel like moving to get them." He hung his head. "I need someone to give them to me."

Margot sighed. "Honestly, Herbert... " She shook her head, smiling slightly. "Brian, let's go. We'll leave him to his... donuts and confession."

Brian grabbed his board. "Sounds good to me!" He high-fived his mom as they walked out the door.

Herbert reached for the remote, a small smile playing on his lips. "Donuts and TV... a perfect day."
