Herbert sighed. "Another Monday," he mumbled, staring at his untouched breakfast. "I wish I had more leisure time."

Margot, busy packing lunches, replied, "Well, you could start by not leaving your fishing gear in the living room, Herbert. It makes the house look rough."

Herbert chuckled. "That's where I like it!"

Later that day, Brian was in his room, pretending to be a scientist. He'd turned his desk into a makeshift laboratory, complete with beakers (old juice glasses) and bubbling concoctions (colored water).

Laura walked in, surveyed the mess, and groaned. "Brian! Mom's going to be so mad."

Brian shrugged. "It's for science! I'm documenting my findings in my journal."

He showed her a notebook filled with scribbles and drawings of exploding volcanoes made of playdough.

Laura rolled her eyes. "Right."

Back at home, Herbert was trying to sneak a nap on the couch, but Molly, holding Captain Hoppy, started pointing at him. He woke up. "Not another donut!" Herbert said, looking at Molly.
