Benvenuti alla seconda lezione di vocabolario del livello B1! In questa unità, parte del percorso 'Iniziare il Percorso', esploreremo parole nuove e modi diversi per usarle. Imparare il vocabolario è fondamentale per comunicare in modo efficace e comprendere meglio l'inglese.

In questa lezione ci concentreremo su cinque parole chiave: still, point, live, kind e set. Vedremo come queste parole possono avere significati diversi a seconda del contesto, e faremo pratica con esercizi interattivi per fissare bene i concetti. Herbert sat on the sofa, the TV remote a still life in his hand.

Margot walked in. "Herbert, are you going to live on that sofa all day?"

Herbert sighed. "I was about to get up, dear. I just needed to find a good point to start. It's a difficult decision, you know."

Margot raised an eyebrow. "Right. Well, I'm off to the Corner Shop. We need milk and bread. Be a kind man and maybe set the table for dinner?"

Herbert nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, my love! Setting tables is my specialty."

Later, Brian walked in to find Herbert asleep on the sofa, the table still unset and a half-eaten bag of chips on his chest.

Brian sighed. "Some specialty."

He set the table himself. "At least I know someone around here lives up to their words."

A few hours later, Laura comes to Herbert.

Laura asked, "Dad, can we talk for a minute?" Herbert grunted in reply.

Laura continues, "You are a very kind person, but you need to start to help more around the house."

Translate: preparare, mettere
