Herbert sat in his armchair. He wanted to watch TV. He looked for the remote, but it was not there. "Margot!" he called. "Have you seen the remote?"[tooltip]Herbert era seduto sulla sua poltrona. Margot walked in from the garden. She was covered in dirt. "No, Herbert. Maybe Brian has it? He likes to link things to the TV to play his video games."[tooltip]Margot entrò dal giardino. "Brian! Have you seen the remote?" Herbert asked.[tooltip]"Brian! Hai visto il telecomando?" chiese Herbert.[/tooltip]
Brian looked up. "No, Dad. I was at the park. Maybe Molly has it. She likes to hide things."[tooltip]Brian alzò lo sguardo. "No, papà. Ero al parco. Forse ce l'ha Molly. Le piace nascondere le cose."[/tooltip]
Herbert went back home. He saw Molly near the church. She was playing with Captain Hoppy.[tooltip]Herbert tornò a casa. Vide Molly vicino alla chiesa. Stava giocando con Capitan Hoppy.[/tooltip]
"Molly, do you have the remote?" Herbert asked. Molly giggled and pointed to the toy box. Herbert looked inside. He found the remote under a pile of toys.[tooltip]"Molly, hai il telecomando?" chiese Herbert. Molly ridacchiò e indicò la scatola dei giocattoli. Herbert guardò dentro. Trovò il telecomando sotto una pila di giocattoli.[/tooltip]
"Ah-ha!" Herbert said. He went back to his armchair. He turned on the TV. He felt a sense of advantage now that he had the remote.[tooltip]"Ah-ha!" disse Herbert. Tornò alla sua poltrona. Accese la TV. Provò una sensazione di vantaggio ora che aveva il telecomando.[/tooltip]
Later, Margot was baking a cake. Herbert walked into the kitchen. "That smells good, Margot!" he said.[tooltip]Più tardi, Margot stava preparando una torta. Herbert entrò in cucina. "Che buon profumo, Margot!" disse.[/tooltip]
"Thanks, Herbert. I'm making it for the church bake sale," Margot replied. "Did you find the remote?"[tooltip]"Grazie, Herbert. La sto preparando per la vendita di dolci della chiesa," rispose Margot. "Hai trovato il telecomando?"[/tooltip]
"Yes! Molly had it. She likes to hide things," Herbert said. He paused. "You know, I can identify almost any dessert by smell alone."[tooltip]"Sì! Ce l'aveva Molly. Le piace nascondere le cose," disse Herbert. Si fermò. "Sai, posso identificare quasi tutti i dessert solo dall'odore."[/tooltip]
Margot smiled. "I know, Herbert. Now, please don't eat the cake before the bake sale."[tooltip]Margot sorrise. "Lo so, Herbert. Ora, per favore, non mangiare la torta prima della vendita di dolci."[/tooltip]
Brian walked in. He looked at herself in the window. "Wow, I'm sweaty!" he said. "Can I have a piece of cake?"[tooltip]Brian entrò. Si guardò se stesso nella finestra. "Wow, sono sudato!" disse. "Posso avere un pezzo di torta?"[/tooltip]
"No, Brian!" Margot and Herbert said together.[tooltip]"No, Brian!" dissero Margot e Herbert insieme.[/tooltip]
Laura came in. She held up a flyer. "I'm collecting donations for the community garden," she announced. "Maybe we can sell some of Margot's cake?"[tooltip]Laura entrò. Tese un volantino. "Sto raccogliendo donazioni per l'orto comunitario," annunciò. "Forse possiamo vendere un po' della torta di Margot?"[/tooltip]
Margot laughed. "Good idea, Laura!"[tooltip]Margot rise. "Buona idea, Laura!"[/tooltip]
