Herbert walked into the kitchen. His stomach rumbled loudly.

Margot was already there, setting the table. �?oGood morning, dear! Did you sleep well?�?� she asked, trying to greet him with a kiss.

Herbert dodged the kiss. �?oI'm too hungry to be kissed. Is there any food?�?�

Margot sighed. �?oThere's cereal. And I was thinking of making sandwiches for a picnic later, down by the underground river path.�?�

Herbert's eyes lit up. �?oSandwiches! What kind?�?�

�?oNothing fancy. Just ham and cheese. But�?��?�, Margot paused, looking worried, �?o...I can't find the big knife. I need it to cut the bread.�?�

Herbert chuckled. �?oDon't worry, love. I saw Brian playing with it outside. He was pretending to be a�?� a�?� well, never mind what he was pretending to be.�?�

Margot's eyes widened. �?oBrian! With a knife? Oh dear.�?� She rushed outside.

Herbert went to the cupboard and got a donut. He started eating, then he looked around.

He muttered to himself, �?oMaybe I should go help Margot�?� Nah. Sandwiches first.�?�

Later, at the park, Brian was explaining something to Laura. �?o...and then, the badger showed up at the reception desk! It was crazy!�?�

Laura looked at him skeptically. �?oBrian, you're making that up.�?�

Brian grinned. �?oMaybe. But it�?Ts a good story, right?�?�
