Herbert sat on the sofa. He checked his weight on the bathroom scale last week. He didn't like the number. "Margot," he called, "the wind is strong today, right?"

Margot looked up from her book. "Yes, Herbert. Why?"

"I was thinking about flying a kite!" Herbert said. "Good exercise."

Margot smiled. "That's... unexpected. Are you sure you want to, Herbert? You haven't flown a kite in years."

"Of course!" Herbert replied. "Brian has a kite. I'll ask him. It's completely safe."

Later, at the park, Brian showed Herbert the kite. Brian said, "Dad, are you sure you can hold it? The wind is really strong."

Herbert took the kite string. He said, "I'm stronger than I look! Don't worry, Brian. I am the user of this kite today."

A big gust of wind caught the kite. It pulled Herbert forward. He tried to hold on, but he slipped. He fell to the ground.

Brian started to laughter. Herbert looked up, surprised.

Herbert smiled. "Okay, okay, maybe I'm not as strong as I thought." He handed the string back to Brian. "Your turn."

Brian laughed again. He started to fly the kite. Herbert watched. He ate a donut.
